PILATES MAT CLASSES
If you are ready to jump in, all of our mat classes are Open Level.
For your first class, please arrive a few minutes early to let the intructor know your skill level. All mat classes are held at Hamilton Health & Fitness (161 Erie Street, Jersey City.)
This beginner class focuses on the basic principles of Pilates. You will work on abdominal control, breathing, and posture. In this moderately-paced class there will be a focus on basic body awareness.
EQUIPMENT (BEGINNER INTERMEDIATE)
Apply your knowledge of Pilates to a more challenging set of exercises. The class emphasis is on muscle control, strength, and fluidity. This is not a class for newcomers, instructor assesment is required for placement into this level.
The intermediate level of our Pilates equipment classes are for those who have begun to master muscle control, strength and fluidity. The participants in this class will be familiar with the choreography of Pilates and ready to move on to more challenges. Instructor assesment is required for placement into this level.
EQUIPMENT (INTERMEDIATE ADVANCED)
This level of Pilates requires spinal flexibility, excellent abdominal control, wrist and shoulder stability, as well as overall strength. Advanced choreography is challenging and often weight-bearing, which demands strong wrists and shoulders as well as a healthy spine. This is an accelerated-paced class.Iinstructor assesment is required for placement into this level.
Enjoy the variety and unique benefits of the Reformer, Tower, Chair and Mat in one class. This is different from the circuit class in that we’ll move as a group from equipment to equipment. Class is limited to three people.
BUILDING BONES WITH THE PILATES CIRCUIT
This class uses the Reformer, Tower, Chair and Mat to focus on building bone density and improving balance, all while strengthening your core and toning and length-
ening your muscles. This class is safe for those with excessive bone loss and it is great for all ages and abilities. This safe, challenging, and fun class aims to specifically strengthen your bones with impact, resistance, and weight bearing exercises.
PRIVATE & SEMI-PRIVATE SESSIONS
PRIVATE & SEMI-PRIVATE SESSIONS
If you are brand new to Pilates, we recommend taking a few one-on-one sessions before starting group classes. We offer a discounted package,
"The Intro Pack". It includes three private Pilates sessions for new comers.

Semi-private sessions for you and your partner are a great alternative to private sessions. For optimum results, partners should be at a similar level or in a similar condition (pregnant, postpartum, etc).
If private or semi-private sessions are not possible and you’re interested in group equipment classes, please start with IBegiiner Level Equiptment Classes.
PRENATAL* clients in the 2nd and 3rd trimester we recommend private sessions.
POSTNATAL* clients attending private sessions and group classes, please inform your instructor.

All cancellations, including equipment classes, require a 24-hour notice. To cancel a scheduled appointment or class, please call the studio at 201.432.5849. Emails are not accepted for cancellations as we can not guarantee when they will be seen and read.
A Late Cancel will result in the loss of the class from the package if we are unable to fill your spot.
Payment is required at the time of booking classes and/or sessions.
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR UNLIMITED MEMBERSHIPS
Late Cancel / No Show - $25 charge.
To clarify - A client who "late cancels” (cancelling less than 24 hours prior to a scheduled class) or “no shows” (does not attend a scheduled class) will be charged a $25 cancellation fee within the following 48 hours. The exception to this rule is; if we are able to fill said spot with a client who is on the wait-list. Pending this is successful, a 'late cancel' or ‘no show’ will not be subject to the penalty.
BOOKING A SESSION OR CLASS
If you have Pilates experience, are injury free, and are interested in booking a one-on-one session or coming to a group class, you can reserve on-line.
If you are new to Pilates, have an injury (old or new), haven’t exercised in a while, have a special condition or need, are pregnant or have recently given birth please contact us to book your initial session/class.
Please call the studio to book semi-private sessions. Semi-private sessions work best when your partner is a similar fitness level.
